Did you know?

Quartzite is a fine-grained, hard metamorphic rock that consists of interlocking quartz crystals. It forms in areas where a large amount of silica has been deposited in the sedimentary process, and is metamorphosed under pressure. Quartzite is also used for paving blocks, riprap, road metal (crushed stone), railroad ballast, and roofing granules.
